WhatsApp has recently announced a new update that allows users to set certain contacts as favorites. This feature will enable users to save the contacts they frequently communicate with at the top of their WhatsApp Chats and Calls. It is designed to make it easier for users to find and access the people they talk to most frequently. The Favorites feature will be available as a filter on the instant messaging platform, making it simple for users to organize their contacts.

To add contacts to favorites, users can follow a few simple steps. They need to open WhatsApp and select the favorites filter in the Chats tab. From there, they can choose the contacts or groups they wish to save as favorites. By tapping on the filter, users will be able to view only the contacts they have selected as favorites. Additionally, users now have the option to set favorites in the Calls tab as well. By selecting the ‘Add favorites’ option and choosing the contacts, users can easily add contacts to their favorites list.

Once contacts have been added to favorites, users can manage and reorder them easily. By going to Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorites, users can access the list of contacts saved as favorites. This feature allows users to customize their list of favorites according to their communication preferences.

WhatsApp has stated that the new Favorites feature is being introduced starting today and will be available to users in the coming weeks. However, it is important to note that the availability of the feature may vary for different devices and operating systems. While the feature may not be immediately accessible to all users, it is expected to be gradually rolled out to a wider audience. It is possible that the feature is currently only available to beta testers registered via the Google Play Beta program.

The introduction of the Favorites feature in WhatsApp is a welcome addition that will simplify communication for users. By enabling users to set certain contacts as favorites, WhatsApp is making it easier for users to access and communicate with the people they interact with frequently. This feature is a step towards enhancing user experience and efficiency within the app.
