Boeing, a major player in the aviation industry, recently faced harsh criticism from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for breaching investigative regulations. The NTSB admonished Boeing for prematurely disclosing details of an ongoing probe into a serious aviation incident involving an Alaska Airlines flight. This incident occurred on a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, resulting in an emergency landing due to a fuselage panel blowout mid-flight.
Violation of Agreement
The NTSB accused Boeing of violating a signed agreement as a party to the investigation, which explicitly prohibited the public disclosure of sensitive information.
