However, Huby emphasized the necessity for European capabilities in this domain. “We said, ‘okay, let’s build this capacity in Europe so that Europe can have its own capsule and also the world needs an alternative solution. [We] cannot only bet on SpaceX,” she asserted. TEC’s significant investment in research and development, as highlighted by the expectation to unveil their second version of Nyx in the coming year and a final iteration by 2028, shows a commitment to innovation. Huby elaborated on TEC’s strong pipeline, revealing contracts worth $800 million that include programs with notable organizations such as Starlab and Axiom Space.
