Against The Storm has already provided players with a variety of animal-people to manage as they strive to establish a town capable of enduring the constant rain of the Blightstorm. However, the new expansion Keepers Of The Stone is set to introduce yet another group – the frog people. Set to be released on September 26th, players will have the opportunity to welcome these new inhabitants as they explore a fresh biome.

The Keepers Of The Stone expansion will take players to the Coastal Groves, where settlements are constructed near the water. This new setting will allow players to build Strider Ports and embark on water-based expeditions riding on the backs of water striders. Additionally, new buildings such as the Pantry, Cannery, and Frog House will be introduced. The unique Frog House serves as the living quarters for the frog people and can be upgraded multiple times to ensure the happiness of these inhabitants, offering “unique benefits” at each level.

In addition to the new expansion, Against The Storm will also be receiving update 1.4 on September 26th. This update will include a new fishing system, as well as new requirements, goods, and other changes – all available for free. However, to access the frog people, the new biome, and other features, players will need to purchase the DLC. The pricing for the expansion has not been listed on the Steam page yet.

While I personally have not had the opportunity to revisit Against The Storm since its initial release, the game was already well-received during Early Access and earned even more praise upon its full launch. With the upcoming Keepers Of The Stone expansion, I have confidence that Eremite Games will continue to deliver a quality gaming experience for players. The addition of the frog people and new biome hints at exciting new gameplay possibilities, making it a DLC worth considering for fans of the game.
